Some Days

Some days you do

And some days you don’t

Some days you will

And some days you won’t

Some days you’ll try

And some you’ll succeed

Some days you’ll have wants

And some you’ll have needs

There will be times

When you walk away

When nothing you do

Or nothing you say

Changes the thing

That you wish would change

But you come back the next day

Go again and rearrange

There will be moments

Where you get it done

When you stand up tall

Turn your face towards the sun

And there will be moments

When you will fall flat

Days where you’ll learn

About eating your hat

Times that will test you

Times that you'll grow

Times that will drown you

Times you’ll need to go

Times for learning

And times for big lessons

And sometimes there'll be times

For what feel like regressions

But so long as you’re moving

One step at a time

Baby steps or giant leaps

Both are just fine

Face the direction

That you want to see

Set your sights on the prize

Show up and just be
