Ideas to Manuscript

Ok so there are a couple of things I want to share with you in today's piece.


First of all, I am a lot. More often than not I am too much for most people because most people didn’t even know someone like me existed.

That's why I don't work with 'most' people.



I arrive into the room, energy first, ideas blazing, a desire to see you succeed and such a bare need to celebrate you like no one ever has before. I don’t do anything by half, I am ALL IN on everything I do, but I am also ALL IN on everything you do. So … if you have me in your corner, you’ll never have to wonder where your cheerleading squad is. I am it.



Now, I have landed in people's businesses after them asking me to, and shaken things up like a smoothie in a blender. It went really well up to a point and then … when my ideas became too big for the people in those businesses to handle, they freaked out and retreated into their old comfort zones and patterns.


I am the pattern interrupt, default setting #goldenretriever



I have ideas coming out of every orifice of my body all day long and I can see the big picture of each idea and the sum of its parts in minutes. It all kind of explodes up into the air over your head as I look at you and see what it is that needs to happen for you to bring your dream to life.



And because I take action first and think as I go, tweak as I go, and refine as I go, most people don’t do that and don’t understand how it works, so … they have questions that need answers, and I get the answers in real time right alongside you. That works for about 4% of the population, I love to work with that 4%.



It's why I love innovators the most, people with massive vision who want to make it happen and just don’t have all the pieces together, and want someone to come along and help land the ship for them so they can go AH HA ….. NOW I SEE IT! LFG



For example, I worked with an amazing woman who had her book more or less written. There were some pieces that needed reworking, a few things added, and I read her book 18 times, and every time I read it I saw another piece of the potential puzzle that was the bigger picture for her and that book.


On a call I shared what was possible if she looked beyond the book - because of the book - and BOOM … explosion time. Courses, appearances, live programs, 9 more books, and the potential to work with some really top level clients who go ALL IN on their own visions, and need someone just like her to help them navigate the spiritual side of it all.


She was blown away, didn’t shy away from any of it, and jumped in feet first like a kid jumping in puddles.



Or the time I met with another author-to-be, and heard her story of what she was planning to do with her book.


She had one book in mind, with a possible potential second, and within 10 minutes I had shown her what she needed to understand about the bigness of what she was doing. There would be a live launch, a black tie ball event, celebrity ambassadors in alignment with the book values and message, tv appearances, breakfast shows, and 2 more books with the titles already thought out and the subject matter already brainstormed out for each.


And before you go thinking that I was putting what I think, into her dream, nope … I remove myself completely from my peoples visions because I can do that with ease, and I get to know them so well that I can put my creativity into their vision for them fully. It's a real buzz.

She was ALL IN right away, saw the vision, and is ready to make it happen over the course of this year.



Or the time I did the social media creation and management for a hotel by the sea. Their social media was brutal, unengaged, no emotion, no story, and this place is a story waiting to be told.


I met with the owners and asked them to trust me and they said ok.


On their first night opening of the season, a month earlier than they would usually open, they were slammed. They were so busy that I got a phone call saying … and I quote … ‘what the fu&k have you done?’ … I thought I was in trouble, and then heard in the background over the loud hummmmmm of a busy bar … ‘Fu*k you Ciara … this is NOT ok’.


So I asked, what happened … and the owner replied ‘we are busier than we have ever been and don’t have enough staff’. I said … you’re welcome, and said bye for now.



In one month I had increased their social media and business by 1200%, and it was all a thing of beauty.


They went ALL IN right up until I suggested 2 of the best ideas imaginable to them for their business longterm, and then they shut down quicker than a teenager who just told a lie and got caught red handed!



I had overstepped their comfort zone and even though the 2 ideas I suggested would have brought them in 2 new and consistent streams of business in their already established bar, and would have branded them as a destination venue in the locality, they just could not see the vision because they had never even considered it and it was too much.



In that moment, I had to be aware that sometimes people's comfort zones are the places they want and need to be, and it's not up to me to drag them out of it.



I have so many good stories of ideas to reality, and so many sad ones too of ideas left on the shelf to wither and die …BUT …


I realised that not every idea is for me, and not every idea I have for someone else is for them. Often, the ideas I have are for other people to take and run with, so I decided to do a brand new series inside this newsletter …


I am going to call it - The ‘Take my idea … I dare ya’ Series, and every time I put up an idea, it will be up to you to see if it's for you and then run with it.
