A New Idea

I was on a call with a wonderful woman yesterday and we were chatting all things relationship. A bit of a deep dive ensued and we realised we had a lot in common. Not long after that we realised that many, and I'm talking hundreds of thousands of us women have this thing in common.

We went back and forth on it and an idea came to mind. An idea for a living, breathing story share that has never been done before.

You HAVE TO let your ideas breathe. You HAVE to give them airtime and share them to see where they land, if they land, and who they land with.

We are living in a time where secrecy is huge and ... I get it ... you want to keep your ideas to yourself in case someone steals them. BUT ... if you keep them to yourself, no one will ever get to benefit from the potential of them anyway so it would be better if they were stolen by someone who is actually going to take action on them. Harsh but true.

Case in point, a friend of mine had the most beautiful idea for a candle business. She really was the perfect person to make it happen. Her vision was huge, her desire was great, her passion was apparent, and her perfectionism and desire to take time to 'do it right' meant ... she waited, told very few people, I was among the few, and did nothing. Fast forward not a great deal of time later, and one of the few went ahead and ... you guessed it ... started her own candle business. Very similar in many ways, different in many others, but then, when my friend finally implemented, she looked like the one who had copied. Now ... that doesn't matter, unless it does, and to her it did.

But here's how you make sure that never happens to you.

Don't wait.

Don't hesitate.

Don't wonder if.

Don't overthink.

Don't think there is a 'right time' ... the right time is always ...

Don't keep it entirely to yourself, tell your TRUSTED circle who will encourage you to take fast action

Don't think there's tonnes of time ... someone somewhere may well have your idea in a couple of weeks.

Just take action immediately, even if that action is to write about the idea, to buy the domain name, to set up an email address, to write your idea down in doc, attach it to an email and send it to yourself, to set up your social media handles ( even if you won't be using them yet ), and a plethera of other actions.

Just go for it.

What's the worst that can happen?

It flops? Who cares, go again!

You end up not wanting to do it? No worries, next!

You are not married to it forever, you just need to act on it in the moment. It came to YOU for a reason so ... trust YOU are the one that is supposed to do something with it. Sometimes its for you, sometimes its for someone else but ... you will never know if you don't act on it.

I will be doing something with this idea and it will be a long term fascinating project that I think will help hundreds of thousands and maybe even millions of women all over the world.

For now ... as a placeholder, or it may be the actual name ... I am calling it ... 'At The Hands Of'
